FAQ's
What size dogs do you groom?
As a general rule I groom small to medium dogs however some larger dogs may be accommodated depending on what your requirements are. Please contact me to discuss your needs, all decisions are made on an individual basis.
How long does it take?
Please allow two to three hours for a full groom. We can give you an approximate time that your pampered pooch will be ready for you but how long it takes depends on several things, such as the condition and type of hair, drying time and how your pet is being cut. We will call you when your pampered pooch is ready for you to collect.
How will you dry my Pampered Pooch?
The grooming parlour has both a cabinet drier and floor standing drier. While most dogs like to lay down and enjoy the cabinet drier it depends on the needs and likes of the particular dog the method used. Regular breaks are given to avoid stressing the dog and their health and wellbeing is my priority.
What shampoo do you use?
Professional hypo allergenic shampoos are used however if you have a shampoo prescribed by your vet or one you would like used in particular we have no problem in using it.
Do you use cages and Muzzles?
The use of cages and muzzles where possible is avoided however they are available for use if necessary.
Will my dog be sedated or harnessed?
Your dog will not be sedated or harnessed at any time during their visit to the grooming parlour. Patience and understanding is fundamental to the way I work.
Do you offer a collection and drop off service?
Yes, please ask for more details. Dog sitting and walking is also available.
What if I can’t make an appointment?
While we understand that sometimes you may not be able to make an appointment it is requested that where possible at least 48hrs notice is given so we can re-book the time slot. Short notice cancellation and non attendance of booked appointments may be subject to a £15 charge for the inconvenience caused.
